Mapping

You might want to do a Google search of “graphic organizers” to find the style you like best. Three common graphic organizers are described below.

Concept maps

In a concept map you circle main ideas and use connecting lines with descriptors on how they are connected. There is also a flow to the map. For example if you were to make a concept map of the magnetic interaction you would have:

Web Diagram

In a web diagram you circle ideas and connect ideas with lines that are related.

Spider Map

In a spider map the main topic is in the center and details about main ideas related to the topic are listed along the “legs.”
